When I began writing Arnold Falls, I knew music would play a big part in the life of the town and so in the book.
As it turns out, having put together a playlist of the songs name-checked in the book, there are 45 of them, from all over the map: Puccini, Florence + The Machine, Shirley Bassey, Ennio Morricone, Laura Nyro, Mariachi Vargas De Tecalitlan, The Staple Singers, Sarah Vaughan, Blossom Dearie, and many more—some of which you’ll know, some you may not.
